One of the biggest challenges professionals in organizations face is the vast amount of information available in functional silos in various forms such as dashboards, reports, KPIs, ERP- BI-, and CRM-systems, strategies, goals, presentations, tasks etc. they need to look at to make the right decisions.

In a VUCA world, information and the tools to process and visualize it are outdated once reality requires you to adapt, but available tools are not made for rapid adjustments. Both the information and the tools behind it are worthless and money spend to improve them is wasted: The tools are “outmaneuvered” by the very environmental changes they should help to keep track off.

This is the situation I have experienced myself many times during my professional career as a manager and leader. I thought about a tool that helps me to overcome above mentioned challenges and create an environment of transparency, trust, and agility my team members appreciate. With a strong background in lean and agile management, I first came-up with a physical board attached to the wall of one of our meeting rooms that covered all relevant information and was easy to adjust.

In 2020 I took over a new responsibility as Senior Vice President Supply Chain Management. Due to the Corona Pandemic, it was impossible to apply a similar approach with a physical board like I did in my previous assignment. To get my global team as fast as possible on the same page, understand what is important and start to lead the organization into the direction needed to perform well, I created a new digital board.

As there was no solution on the market that met our requirements, we decided in 2023, to come-up with a new digital tool “AgilityVisual” that relies on cutting edge web technology and advanced management features. AgilityVisual was born.
